Distance is the path covered by the body Distance is a scalar quantity It is dependent on path followed by object Displacement is the shortest distance covered by the body It is a vector quantity It is independent on the path followed by the object Displacement is defined as the change in position of an object ∆x = X initial — X final ∆x = Xi — Xf # When final position is equal to the initial position we say displacement is zero Distance ≥ Displacement Created and edited by Sai Group Sai Group In case of any doubt frankly ask in comments, I will try to answer Viewer's now you can also ask questions and also answer questions, follow Sai Group Happy learning Thank you

Fibre - Fibre is a single and elongated piece of material which is similar to threads. Monomer - Mono - single, Mer- unit Polymer - Poly - many, Mer - unit Polymer are formed from repeating units of monomer, 'Poly' means many, 'mer' means unit . Natural fibre silk Silk is a smooth fibre, it is obtained from pupa of silkworms Silk rope is equally strong as equally thick metal wire. Silk is first discovered in China by yellow empress Leizo and kept as secret for thousand of years. Cultivation of silkworms to produce silk is called Sericulture . 10 kg of cocoon -> 1kg of silk The cocoon produced by the silkworm is treated with hot air, steam and boiling water to obtain silk strands. Silk produced by Bombyx Mori is considered to be the best quality Bombyx Mori feeds on mulberry leaves Process by which silk is obtained is somehow cruel, killing the silkworms but we can find another alternative to silk and at that ti...

1) Brazil is the leading producer of coffee in the world. 2) Rice is the major food crop of the world and it is the staple diet of the tropical and sub-tropical regions. 3) Growing of vegetables, flowers and fruits for commercial use is known as Horticulture. 4) Shifting cultivation is also known as ‘slash and burn’ agriculture. 5) Nomadic herding is practiced in the semi-arid and arid regions of Sahara, Central Asia and some parts of India, like Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir. 6) Intensive subsistence agriculture farmer cultivates a small plot of land using simple tools and more labor. 7) Shifting cultivation is practiced in the thickly forested areas of Amazon basin, tropical Africa, parts of Southeast Asia and Northeast India. 8) Commercial grain farming is practiced in the areas of temperate grasslands of North America, Europe, and Asia. 9) Mixed farming is practiced in Europe, eastern USA, Argentina, southeast...

Rational numbers (Q) A number is called a rational number if it can be expressed in form of p/q where p, q are integers (q≠0). Rational numbers set is represented by Q Eg- -3/5, 5/4, 6, 3/2, -13/46, 0, 16........ A important thing to remember while working with rational numbers is p/q, where p &q are integers, q≠0 Properties of rational numbers 1) Closure -> result should belong to the group (here rational numbers) [Note- We should check a particular example by reversing the example ] Addition -> Closed, Ex- 2+8=10, 8+2 =10 Subtraction -> Closed, Ex- 2-8= -6, 8-2 = 6 Multiplication -> Closed, Ex- 2×8=16, 8×2=16 Division -> Not closed, Ex- 2/8= 1/4, 8/2= 4 U can ask a question why does division is not closed, Any guesses, let me know in the comments below. 2) Commutative property Addition -> Commutative - a+b=b+a Subtraction -> Not commu...

1) Lysosomes break down and digest food particles in a cell. They also help the cell defend itself from pathogens by forming a complex along with the pathogen, called phagosome. They also aid in recycling proteins and digest worn-out cells. Hence, they are called 'suicide bags of cells'. 2) White blood cells or leukocytes (WBCs) in the human body can change shape. This helps them move in between cells to reach infected areas. The ability to change shape also plays a role in providing immunity by fighting the pathogens entering the body. 3) Smooth ER helps the cell to manufacture fat molecules called lipids. They are devoid of ribosomes and hence are called smooth ER. Read our whole chapter notes Here Cell- structure and function

Q) What Makes plants appear green? Ans- Plants appear green due to the presence of a pigment called chlorophyll. There are high concentrations of chlorohyll in chloroplasts. These plastids are responsible for photosynthesis. Q) What is a vacuole? Ans- The vacuole is the cell organelle that stores excess. water and gives support and rigidity to a plant cell. It occupies about 80% of the plant cell volume. Q) What is cell theory ? Ans- The main postulates of cell theory are: • All living organisms are composed of one or more cells. • Cell is the basic unit of structure, function, and organisation in all organisms. • All cells come from pre-existing, living cells. • All living cells do not have cell walls. It is present only in plants, fungi and bacteria. Q) What are unicellular organisms? Ans-Unicellular organisms are made up of just a single cell. All basic functions that are required to sustain life such as growth, repair and division are all carried out by that ...
